1920s Garrett & Co Virginia Dare Wine Bottle Prohibition Era Embossed EMPTY

This is a vintage, Prohibition Era embossed Garrett & Co Virginia Dare wine bottle.  The vintage wine bottle dates between the 1920s and early 1930s.  It is embossed with "Garrett's American Wines" within a shield then, "Garrett & Co. - Virginia Dare- New York and St Louis - Established 1845 - Registered Trademark - Contents 8 Oz - Refilling Proh."  Garrett and Co. was originally a North Carolina company established in 1845 making wine from Scuppernong grapes.  Around 1920 the company expanded to New York and St Louis, unfortunately at the time when Prohibition was beginning.  The Company survived by transforming their wine to a non-alcoholic version.  My father, an avid bottle hunter, found the old wine bottle more than 40 years ago in the ruins of an old homestead in Virginia.  The vintage wine bottle is in great shape, free from breaks or cracks with the exception of a couple of tiny chips in the lip (see photos).  The glass in the bottom of the bottle was unevenly poured and the "lopsided" effect is noticeable.  Clarity and embossing are nice for a dug bottle.  The old bottle measures about 9.5" tall and 2" wide.
