    1940's Garrett's Virginia Dare 1 Gallon Embossed Wine Bottle Mo. Tax Stamp & Cap
    This listing is for a Garrett's Virginia Dare wine bottle with cap, 1 cent tax stamps & label.
    The embossed front Eagle design reads Garrett's American Wines.
    Embossing on back reads Garret & Co, Inc, Established 1835.
    On the bottom it reads, Refilling Prohibited, Des. Pat.  No. 101182.
    The 1 cent State of Missouri tax stamps have the names of the State Treasurer & Supervisor of Liquor Control.
    Wilson Bell & W.G. Henderson served in their offices from 1941 to 1945.
    It is a 1 gallon size (aprox. 14" tall) with no chips or cracks, and it needs some cleaning.
    (I didn't want to try and possibly lose anymore of the paper label)
