If order only consists of books and/or magazines, the package will be mailed with USPS Media Mail. Otherwise, packages under 16 oz. are shipped by USPS First Class Mail, and packages over 16 oz. are shipped by USPS Priority Mail or commercial carrier (FedEx or UPS). Orders are packaged and transferred to USPS or the commercial carrier usually within 24 hours, except for items purchased on weekends. Those orders will be shipped on the next business day.
Model train items are carefully packaged to protect delicate parts such as trucks, couplers, stirrups, railings and other fragile parts. All items are secured safely in the package to prevent movement or damage during shipping and to protect the items from possible "blunt force trauma" within the mailing system.
