    Description

    Chinese Pien Mien turkey feather face cover fan
    This fan was likely produced in the 1980's in China as a popular tourist piece. This type fan was used through the ages as to fan ones self but to also cover your face. These were also popular during the Victorian period and were used by flappers during the Roaring Twenties.
    Wooden handle; turkey feathers are attached with thin metal rods. The red is a plastic ribbon that covers the twine that holds the fan together.
    Fan measures 15 1/2 by 13 inches. Very good condition.
