Original U.S. Lobby Card (11x14) from the 50 minute documentary film MATTO GROSSO (1933). The film was the creation of three men, John S. Clark, Jr. David M. Newell and photographer Floyd Crosby. (Floyd Crosby is the father of singer songwriter David Crosby.) Mato Grosso in one of the states of Brazil, the third largest. The name of the state translates as "thick bush" and indeed the remote region is home to indigenous peoples. It is these people who are the subject of this film. Cards for the film are somewhat scarce. This card shows a young boy with a bow on his lap, sitting with (we presume) his father. The condition of the card is graded as very good plus. A colorful card which is almost ninety years old. MovieArt Original Film Posters guarantees that this scene lobby card is an authentic card from this documentary film.
