This portable calculator for addition and subtraction comes in a brown leather case. From research, these devices were manufactured in Germany, possibly in the 1950s. There is an obvious notation on the device as to where it was made, but you have to look for it on the back. NO INSTRUCTION SHEET AVAILABLE, but instructions can be obtained on the internet. Background on such devices, as well as photos, also available on the internet. Interestingly, some of that information comes from museum sources.
The stylus is a thin metal rod secured to the side of the device. To clear calculations, lift the gizmo at the top.
Evidently it was owned by Jim Finch because he scratched his name on the back, but the name is barely visible.
