*Antique French Gothic Revival Walnut Fireplace Surround/Mantel with Hood

This beautifully carved Gothic revival fireplace surround is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is made from solid and veneered walnut with excellent fit and finish. Note that there are cracks in the crest at the top and some old termite holes that have been filled (see photos). The fabric at the top shows signs of age but can easily be removed and changed to match any decor. Overall this impressive fireplace surround is in good antique condition, straight and solid with usual signs of wear. Dimensions: 61.75" wide, 109.5" tall and 20.75" deep (front to back). The fireplace opening is 39.5" tall and 38.25" wide.
