    The answer is NO.
    Actually, you can access EFI-ROM without converting board.
    However, you'll more comfortable and easy to access if you have this.

    - LED and resistor are not included. ( These don't affect the operation. )
    - Everything are soldered except the header pin. ( You need to solder header pin yourself. )
    ( Please see 'Package include' picture)
    - If some SPI programmer doesn't work, you need to supply 3.3V to 'PP3V3_SUS' of the Logic Board.
    That can't be solved by the limitation of the J6100 pin map. That is not a defect of the converting board.
    As mentioned that, you must supply 3.3V to the 'PP3V3_SUS' of the Logic Board using a DC power supply.

    A: The location of the J6100 Connector on the Logicboard is different for each board and, likewise, the direction of the connector is not all the same. Therefore, you must properly check the location and the direction of the J6100 Connector before connecting it to the board. ​

    Q: I got it connected but EFI-ROM is not detected. Is it broken?

    1. EFI-ROM(SPI-ROM) on the logicboard is broken; or
    2. another SPI communication line connected to EFI-ROM(SPI-ROM) is malfunctioning; or
    3. SPI programmer currently in use is broken; or
    4. operating voltage of the SPI programmer currently in use is low. ​ ​​
